Moving long distance involves a lot of preparation. There's saying goodbye to your old neighbors and friends as well as your old life! There's planning for a new school for the kids as well as preparing for the relocation of the furniture and all your belongings. .For this, you can hire the services of an inter-state mover or cross country mover.
You always have the option of either doing your own packing or letting your long distance mover do that for you. In case you have to do the packing all by yourself, then you must keep a few things in mind, like keeping every box below twenty kilograms. If the boxes are heavier than that, it could tear off and also be quite a task for the mover to move it for you. Take a sheet of A4 size paper, and write on it what the box contains with a marker or a sketch pen. Stick the paper on the box. This tells your mover how to handle the boxes as some of your breakable stuff could require more care than the others. Masked tape is sure to tear off, so use a plastic tape with at least two inches of width both at the bottom of the box and the top of it.
Your long distance mover must have a valid license, with the ICC, US DOT or STATE DOT depending on what service he’s offering. Long distance moving could require you to hire an interstate mover or even a cross-country mover. You can even have your mover have your furniture and stuff arranged at the new place, all ready for you when you arrive. All you have to do is instruct him beforehand.
